Description:
Transformable Bacterial Artificial Chromosome (TAC) library constructed using Arabidopsis thaliana accession Columbia genomic DNA and the pYLTAC17 vector. Cloning enzyme HindIII. Consists of 12,225 individual clones. Part of the library was end-sequenced (8,217 clones) and mapped (7,747 clones) to the Arabidopsis genome. Based on the TAC end-sequence information and subsequent mapping to the Arabidopsis reference genome, the average insert size is about 64,000 base pairs. This library was propagated in the Alonso-Stepanova laboratory and deposited in the ABRC with permission from the John Innes Centre (JIC).
