atr1D mutant isolated by screening for EMS-induced mutants in the Columbia trp1-100 mutant background whose fluorescence persists on high tryptophan medium, followed by testing for resistance to 5-methyl-tryptophan. The trp1-100 mutation is no longer present after crosses with wild-type Columbia.
